Carrefour adopts blockchain tech to trace chicken

Majid Al Futtaim, owner of Carrefour stores in the UAE, has teamed up with IBM to use blockchain to trace chicken and microgreens as part of a push towards supply chain transparency. 

The partnership between Majid Al Futtaim and IBM aims to increase transparency for consumers about the provenance of their food, which will “help result in increased quality, credibility and safety”.
